Great to know Chicago scheduling interview in 4 months time.

Best of luck to everyone who got the interview scheduled already and who are still waiting. everyone will have their time.

                    • So I had received a notification on 9/19 that an interview was scheduled and yet had not received the interview notice. I called many times and was told it was not scheduled yet or was in a queue but that didn’t make sense given what the status said. So today I spoke to a L2 officer and got confirmation my interview was scheduled for Oct 28 and will resend the letter. So keep tabs on yours and don’t continue to sit waiting for it! My address was correct too so not sure what happened.

I’m in Los Angeles by the way. Only taking the originals of the relevant ID docs, some photos, leases, bank statements etc. Not really worried about the evidence
as my case is about as straight forward as you can get.

                      Best of luck to all

I think most of the calls are handled by people who reads the same status from the USCIS online website.

                          • Hi, thank you for making this thread. I’m married to a USC(June 2019) and we’re also working with an immigration lawyer.

                            Initial Status: J1 Visa

                            This is our timeline:

July 12: AOS Packet was sent to USCIS Lockbox Facility at Chicago, IL.
                            July 15: Priority Date
                            July 18: Notice Date
                            July 28 : Received 4 notices dated 07/18 and 3 checks are cashed ($1,760)

                            $535 - I-130 Filing fee
                            $85 - Biometrics fee
                            $1140 - I-485 Filing fee

August 2: Received schedule for biometrics
                            August 16: Biometrics done
                            August 20: Fingerprint review completed
October 3: Received courtesy for I-693
October 9: Case ready to be scheduled for an interview

By the way, did everybody paid for the I-130 filing fee? I’m seeing some people who didn’t paid $535 ????

                            Goodluck and Godbless to us

I just politely asked and she was hesitant to do so, saying I'd likely just get the same information recycled back to me but I got put through. The prior 5 times I called I spoke with the regular CS folks and they all told me nothing, despite my status saying an interview was scheduled. So it's well worth the ask if you have any concerns something is wrong. Only issue is they do a call back and that takes several hours, and some people I've heard never get a call back at all.

The prior 5 times I called I spoke with the regular CS folks and they all told me nothing, despite my status saying an interview was scheduled. So it's well worth the ask if you have any concerns something is wrong. Only issue is they do a call back and that takes several hours, and some people I've heard never get a call back at all.
wow, thats something new, they mention you have an interview and forget to post the letter !!!

i am also waiting for the letter to arrive, but i also have an attorney with me so i think she will get another copy of the interview notice as well.

Anyway best of luck for your interview.
