I just got my SSN after 6 week when my EAD was approved and processing

Oh I’m not even worried about the virus itself. I’m just feeling down about all the delays with the process and how it’s affecting people’s lives. Really hope it’s all over soon!

Understand. USCIS will find a way to process & do interviews again soon. Even if it’s by mail, FaceTime or phone they can do it or just automatically give out temporary 2 year green cards until this pandemic dies down imo.

hi there! So sorry for the late reply! I haven’t checked immihelp in a while! Very discouraged by the whole Covid 19 thing and the extended waits ... I never got my SSN because I already had one before the immigration process! Btw, day 281 today.... how is everyone doing???

Ires How long after receiving your EAD Card did you get your SSN? Due to COVID-19 all Social security offices are closed so I can’t do a walk in

I got my SSN Monday 30th March - about 4 weeks after getting my EAD Don’t call Main Social Security phone number, but call your local office if you can find it - in my case it took 2 minutes and i was talking with guy, while calling on main 1-800... number took 1 hour of waiting and there was no agent available

If you called to ss, they have you already in their system. My husband dad got gc, and I called them and they do not have anything in the system yet. I have my EAD but I do not call them to check if they have me in the system too

Received RFE today after waiting for over a year. Total BS. My daughter sponsored my husband and I. She is a US born citizen, they asked for original LONG form birth certificate. I have her BC that has all the information on it that they need, her name, DOB, place of birth, the government agency authorized to issue the certificate, our names etc. My lawyer also said he has never seen this, they only make requests like this for foreign birth certificates. So now I’m trying to see how to get a long form, if it even exists. Nice to know it took them this long to go through our application.

What are you waiting for? EAD or Interview? To be honest, I waited 4.5 months for my EAD Card after my biometrics were accepted. If your waiting on interview due to COVID expect delays
