I got my EAD 4.5 months after biometrics. You still have a little wait. Your field office should be on the USCIS website. Processing times vary depending on where you filed. Goodluck!

        • Was wondering if anyone is in the same boat or similar? I just got an approved work permit &travel authorization, an rfie was issued and responded to back in december 2019 for i485. I had a visa overstay and a deportation case which q was closed and that allowed me to file for AOS. I do have am approved I-130 (marriage to usc) back in 2016 and was called for an Interview then. My question is, will I be asked for an interview again or can it be waived? Since me & my spouse went for an i130 interview and have been married for almost 6 years.

What's the current status of your 485? Are you at Case is Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview yet? Ours has not been updated since the RFIE response was received back in December. Given that you and your spouse have already interviewed, you may see a waiver as other threads have mentioned where applicants have also previously interviewed for the I-130. However, I wouldn't be surprised if you receive notice to interview again given the complexity of your case. Honestly, it's anyone's guess at this point. Hang in there! Like us, you have been married a long time and should have nothing to worry about. I wish you all the best and hope that we both hear something soon!!

Thank you so much, our i485 hasn't moved since December 10th " Rfie response recieved" until just now, just less than an hour ago it changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview" which is great news!! I was really worried our response to rfie wasn't enough! I really hope we get lucky and it gets waived for us! Our lawyer mentioned that cases like us interviews are being waived and approved so lets hope it's the case for us. Wishing you the best of luck as well! Hopefully yours next!

                    • Hi everybody! So last week my husband and I received a letter from our local field office. They want us to mail them the evidence we were going to show at the interview. We had everything ready (because they cancelled us the day before). This is what we have:
                      exhibit 1: proof of relationship
                      - marriage certificate
                      - text messages between 2018 and 2020
                      - Emails between me and his mom talking about wedding preparations.
                      - three affidavits of relationship: two written by his friends and one by my mom
                      - vet bill
                      - car and health insurance.
                      - Amazon account

Exhibit two: proof of financial comingling
                      - 2019 tax returns
                      - joint bank account statements
                      - me as an authorized user on his account

                      Exhibit three: proof of cohabitation
                      - Lease with both our names
                      - a note by the landlord stating he pays our utilities
                      - photocopy of random mail coming to the house

54 photos total. Some of our every day life and some of our wedding. What worries me is that we don't have many pictures with family and friends other than those at the wedding. Oh well...

Any suggestions as to what we are sending?

This is an interesting and welcome development. It seems like they might be trying to push through some of the workload by asking for the documentation for certain I-485 cases.

Anyone else got any similar letter?

Wow, I wonder if they are trying to approve your case without an interview??!! That would be amazing. Did you guys send the medical with the original package? Did the letter from the field office arrive as an RFE or did it just show up? Sorry so many questions, but this really exciting for you guys (and the rest of us lol).

As far as what you are sending in response, it looks like you have covered everything. The only other thing I can think of would be if either of you have retirement or other accounts that might list the spouse as a beneficiary? Also any kind of health directives/power of attorney? Copy of DL's or ID's that list the same address? This is all extra stuff of course. As CuriousKat said, don't overthink it too much. It looks like your response is pretty darn complete already and I'm sure all will be great!

To me, they are trying to approve the case without interview, because they are literally asking for evidence that we are in a bona fide marriage. Yes, we sent the medical with the original package back in October, and the letter says "request for evidence", however, it just showed up on our mailbox. We never got an update on our online status and the funny thing is that my name on tne envelope is written in ink. We are sending everything tomorrow, signature delivery, hoping to get good news soon! Thank you for your suggestion. We don't have retirement accounts but we do have our DLs with our same address so that might be something to add!
