    In the "old days" pre-COVID, people would do the health exam right after the interview got scheduled (usually with a month notice). That is now a bit riskier as a lot of civil surgeons are not seeing people during COVID. I'd probably try to do it ASAP if I were you.

    Hi guys, my case status just changed to "ready to be scheduled for an interview". When do you suggest that I do my i693 health exam? Since I don't know if it takes 5 months or 1 year to get interview scheduled, and i don't want my i693 to get expired during the wait. Thank you!

    Had my biometrics on Jan 22nd, and today the I-765 status changed to "New Card is Being Produced." Hopefully the I-485 interview comes soon too!

    At least you guys are getting your statuses change after biometric. Mine is stuck at "case received" and "fingerprint fee received" since my bio on 1/4. Still not sure why I got a code 2. I'm assuming you guys all had a code 3 bio.

    By the way, according to USCIS processing times, our I-131 are officially out of processing time so we can submit case status inquiries. I did mine today, they said they would get back to me by Feb 16.

    -08/10/20: Received RFIE in the mail asking for my partner's pay stubs for the last 6 months and letter of employment.
    -09/18/20: Mailed out RFIE to Lee-Summit's office.
    -09/21/20: USCIS confirms they've received RFIE.
    -10/27/2020: Called USCIS regarding biometrics appointment not yet scheduled. USCIS send E-Request to Chicago FO.
    -11/10/2020: Immigration officer reaches out to me via phone call to explain the reason I haven't received a biometrics appointment, appointment will come eventually.
    -11/23/2020: USCIS files another E-Request for biometrics.
    -12/04/2020: USCIS confirms biometrics appointment has been scheduled and letter with details is in the mail already.
    -12/05/2020: Biometrics appointment scheduled for December 21st 2020.
    -12/21/2020: Biometrics taken.
    -12/22/2020: Biometrics applied to cases.
    -12/29/2020: Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview.
    I haven't gotten any updates on EAD either. My case went straight to "ready to schedule for interview" and nothing else still. I really want to be able to work soon.

    Spoke too soon! Just checked and our case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. What a relief.

    Next steps for us are to get the appt for the I-693 as we haven't done so yet. We don't have proof of any prior vaccinations so I think that's going to be the challenge to get taken care of first.
