Hi everyone! I have an update to my case - my interview has been scheduled and I received the notice in the mail today. See below for my timeline!


12/18/20: My package was received at Chicago lockbox
01/11/21: I received four NOA receipts in the mail (online case number indicates my fingerprint fee check was cashed on 12/29/20)
02/05/21: I received biometrics letter in the mail for my upcoming appointment, which is scheduled for the end of this month (letter came from the NBC)
02/18/21: Biometrics appointment
04/09/21: I-485 receipt reads Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
05/03/21: Requested EAD to be expedited (my current TN expires end of this month)
05/10/21: My I-765 receipt says, "Expedite Request approved."
05/11/21: My I-765 now says, "New card is being produced."
05/12/21: I-765 and I-131 both read "My Case was Approved. We sent you an approval notice"
05/13/21: I-765 reads "My card was mailed to me"
05/15/21: My combo card (both I-765 and I-131) arrived to my attorney's office via USPS priority.
10/07/21: Update on USCIS website that says, "Your interview has been scheduled"
10/12/21: Received interview notice in the mail for mid November

Oh, you mean the “receipt date for case inquiry” and the processing time posted? That is just reflecting the maximum time range/when you can submit “outside processing time” request, not quite what applications dates they are processing, unless I am missing something. Btw, the processing time is not a range as it seems. They use this method called “processing time” where the first number reflects time it takes 50% of cases, and second number 93% of cases.

Yes, sorry I didn't express myself correctly. USCIS displays case processing times for select forms and locations to let people know how long it generally takes to process benefit requests and when they can submit a service request for a case that is “outside normal processing time.” They update case processing times on the website monthly with the latest available data.

It's not an exact time, but it's a hope that will be processed soon.

Yes, I'm hoping next month. They are currently working on applications that came on Dec11th.

now the case status is showing fingerprinting completed at 9/10. just checked today.

Congrats man. What did they asked.

The officer asked me first about what kind of visa was I on before AOS and I said F1 then I got nervous and said I was still on F1 then he said but I would be studying if I was still on F-1 visa so I said no then I wasn't (as I was on STEM OPT so I was working while on the visa for two years). (got a bit scared there) but it went okay; then he asked me and my husband how and when we first met and where we met and it got more relaxing from there...then he asked us have we lived together if so what is the address and if we have talked to each other's parents, if not why. Then he asked to see any documents that we have showing shared finances and shared addresses such as lease agreements and bank statements. After that he asked a list of yes and no questions from the I-485 form. He also asked what common interests we share that bring us together. We just told him what we think that are closest to what he was asking.

He did somehow asked me couple times what my father's profession is and the background of my father's profession which puzzles me a bit (why my father? my father's back in mainland China.) Lastly he asked to see any photos we have together but he did return the texts documentations that I prepared. And at the end he said he'll be right back then when he came back he stamped a piece of paper and told us it's approved and what are the next steps since mine is conditional...I was completely surprised that that was it. But I did bring a 14lb ginormous accordion folder with all the organized documents and the officer said it's the biggest aos folder he has ever seen!

My appointment was 7:15 am yesterday but the line outside was long (Los Angeles location) and most of us didn't get in till 7:30 but we didn't wait that long in the waiting room once we got in. So be forewarned to arrive 30mins earlier than your appointment time might not be a bad idea since you'll be in line for sometime. We arrived 2 minutes past appt time and I thought I was screwed but luckily they're behind schedule so most of us were waiting past scheduled time slot.

I missed my interview today becasuse i did not receive any notification from USCIS. Please what should i do?

OMG I got my notice after I finished my interview the mailing is so ridiculous and the mail was so beat up too...you'll need to talk to Emma then Live Agent to reschedule
