Concurrent filing - I 130 & I 485 (Family Based) + I-765, I-131, I-944, I-864. Everything filled out and ready to go - just waiting on the medical stuff. Will update my status when I send.

Hello everyone, I am about to file concurrent filing for my mom this month. I have a few questions on I-944 if someone who has already filed family-based application could offer some guidance, would highly appreciate.

Am I considered as a household member on the form I-944 when I live in USA while my mom lived in other country? The form asks to list household income and assets. Neither of us put each other as dependent in our tax filing. The instructions says one could include anyone if they provide more than 50% financial assistance to the applicant. In the past I have provided my mom financial assistance but not for the past few years. The income she earns would come less 125% of 1 household Federal Poverty Guideline and assets somewhat less than 5 x income gap. So, should I include my income/assets in her household in I-944 form when I will be filling I-864 as primary sponsor to show my income and assets?

The general question is that does the form ask household members in the context of past or in the context of future?

Hi everyone, I have been reading the forum posts in the past couple of weeks but have decided to create an account to post updates for my I-485 submission. My intention is to give others a sense of the timeline to expect if they plan to submit or have already submitted I-485. Today, 15 days after arriving at the Chicago lockbox, my husband's credit card has a pending charge from, well, Chicago lockbox.

tejashshah Unfortunately, I don't quite know the answer to your question, but my understanding of I-944 household question is that it refers to current household. You may check page 4 of the I-944 instructions.

Thanks all for sharing updates. I’m waiting on the biometric appointment letter, so if any of you receive it in the upcoming days, please update.

FYI A programmer made a tracker using data from USCIS and reported that 13% of January I-485 applicants have already had their fingerprints applied. I don’t know how accurate that data is, but it seems that things are moving pretty quickly for some people.

We sent off the I-130 Jan 27th via online portal and received a receipt notice in the mail Feb 4th.
On Feb 11th we sent off I-485, I-864, I-944 and I-693 via Fed Ex.
The waiting game begins
