I-485 - Case was transferred to a new jurisdiction

Same is our case too. Filed I-140 in Texas service center in Dec 2020. Received notice 3.5 months later and is still pending. Filed I-485 and EAD on Sept 12th, 2021 to Lewisville lockbox. Received receipts yesterday from MSC. When I checked the status of 485, it says "Case Was Transferred And A New Office Has Jurisdiction". I am yet to receive the notice stating why. Will keep you all posted.

I just completed by Biometrics. The Biometrics appointment happened 4 months after my 485 + 765 + 131 was filed.

Same thing happened to me, My Biometric was March 1, got EAD after almost 3 months.
Shiva, Where did they process i765? Is it National Benefit Center - MSC?

Yes, I765 is still with MSC while my I485 got transferred to LIN (Nebraska) where my I140 is.

Congratulations, Shiva. For my friend, it took 3 months from the biometric date to get the EAD. Usually it's 180 days from the date of 485.

Finally, my biometrics is scheduled for later this month. Can I expect to get my EAD in a month or so from biometrics date? My I-140 is still pending btw.

Interestingly, yes. The I-140 was pending in those cases as well. So I can't understand how USCIS works.

yes - that's strange then. I'm very thrilled.. At least the 3 of us in this thread have applied in the same timeline.

Anyone else seen this in their case? I am trying to understand in what cases the case gets transferred (as in this case it doesn't appear to be due to workload) and typically what next steps one sees after the transfer. Thanks again!

Anyone got i485J receipt in between? As I said before, I applied i485 last year October end. But still my GC card is pending without any updates. Same time, all of my colleagues got approval.

I have almost the same issue - Submitted i485 in EB1C October 2020 in MSC.My i140 was in progress in Nebraska location. USCIS moved my i485 to Nebraska location and till now no update about my case. My i140 is approved March 2021. All of my colleagues applied before and after me in MSC location got GC Card.As my case is moved to different location, its still pending.

Another interesting thing is, I didn't even receive i485J. Anybody facing the same issues?

I am in the same boat except my I140 is still pending.

I went through exact same thing and also my dates are similar. I-140 applied Jan 30. May 25 applied for I-485.
got notice last mth saying the file has been transferred.
