Alternate of Birth Certificate

Hi there,

I have filled in 485 for my mother but have received an RFE stating that I must give the birth certificate.

My mother was born in a village in 1955, and we do not have her birth certificate. We cannot source anything from local offices or admin of the village as its very earlier years and thing and we now live in USA for years.

What other options I have ?

Any links or tips will be much appreciated !

Can not you get certificate of non- availability? This will surely helpful. Along with this, Please consider below mentioned list of documents for alternating birth certificate.
1. Religious or School records
2. Medical records
3. Affidavit from well known person
4. Census record proof
5. Insurance records
6. Employment records
7. Financial records
