hi E_Pluribus_Unum, thank you for sharing your experience in details. Did you get any further notice from USCIS? I filed in April and waiting for bio metric notice.

      On this topic:
Lets say I file I-130 online (separately for Father and Mother).

Is it ok to mail the remainder (e.g. I-485/I-755/I-131/I-693s) for both parents in a single package to USCIS, or should I send separately for Father and Mother?
USC filed AOS for parents on B2. I am not a lawyer.

hi verbose, Good question. I found this on USCIS's website.

They recommended to file separately. So, in my opinion - sending 2 separate set of documents on the same time- should give you the same priority date. (And, if you have filed I-130 form online on same date for both the parents - both should get the same priority dates). Even if you send 2 forms in single package - they are going to sort and treat it separately. (This is my understanding - pl validate before taking action based on my opinion.)

So is the receipt and I-797 both different documents? I submitted my i-130 last month and got the receipt. But it doesn't mention anywhere about the i-797? Do you get the i-797 only once approved?

Pls google "Consular Processing" and "Adjustment of Status" to understand the difference between two paths for this.
Since you have already filed I-130, they would need to go through Consular Processing and no I-485 would be involved.

Although I became a citizen and i am still waiting for I-130 to be approved . I believe it would be faster since i updated citizenship status. Filed I-130 with PR in April 2021 , Updated I- 130 form with Citizen MAY 2022. Thanks for response .
