Urgent help requested: OCI transfer to new passports

Ok thanks. For the first twin, I will choose their fedex option and provide one passport number. Now, we need another BLS order form for the second twin too. So for second BLS order form under the Fedex Delivery Serve, I will choose Prepaid Delivery == Yes and what did you do for

next question which asks Airway Bill No OR Fedex Transaction details. I am not sure what the email receipt contains so not sure what to fill here.

I believe I put a comment saying paid for FedEx, but now it seems to be asking for transaction #. You should be able to put the same transaction # on both order forms.

one more question.

I opted for their Fedex delivery service of $15. After I paid I got an email from them which had the following details:

REFERENCE #: <11 digit number>
AUTHOR #: < 6 digit number>
TRANS. REF: <empty>

Now, back on the OCI order form under Fedex Delievery Service, we select Prepaid Delivery : YEs and what do we fill for "Fedex Transaction Details"? I thought TRANS REF , but that was empty...can we fill the 11 digit REFERENCE#

Filling in REFERENCE # seems like a reasonable step to me. That is the only transaction detail you have.

I stuck both on the USPS package and postal lady was all confused :-) Anyway sent in my package today. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Oh, yeah. I got them back in 3 weeks or so, much faster than their projected times.

I had applied for my kids re issue of OCI in January and I got an acknowledgment from BLS that it has been dispatched to consulate on 17th February . I have been tracking since 19th February on Indian consulate website and I have not heard from them yet. The status still says it is under process. Did anyone here have this much processing time. My jurisdiction is in New York.

Sorry to hear that KC. That does not look good. I have applied to NY but just a couple days back. BLS site says they just received and need to be processed and it might take 48 hours to change status.
While filling I tried calling them many times, but I was successful only once..it was around 5:30pm in the evening. Try calling at that time.

I need help before I send off my application and supporting documents. Any help would be greatly appreciated as soon as possible.

I am currently in the process of doing my mom's OCI Re-Issue because she has a new passport. She needs to transfer the OCI Stamp.
Also, my brother and I are also applying for an OCI New Card (Adult) because our parents are both of Indian Origin.

1. Can I send all 3 applications at once with separate Cover Letters, Order Forms, and Shipping Labels in the SAME envelope?
2. On the BLS Order form Website, it says "Airway Bill No." It was mentioned that you can go to the FedEx office , have it priced out, and receive a tracking number. Were you able to get the tracking number, then print the order form, and THEN mail it? Is that the process that was used to get this information?
3. When you send a prepaid envelope/label, the tracking number on that one should be where the Prepaid Delivery Section is, right??

I want to be sure this is all correct to avoid delays or problems.

1. I am not confident, but you should be able to because all three of you are from the same family. You can see it as your mom is applying along with both of your OCIs. If you were applying along with your two kids', you certainly can put all the applications in the same envelope. I don't see why the same logic won't apply.

My struggle with OCI reissue (new passport) for my kids.

I have prepared all the documentation as per the website, your experience thread and also help from other generous people who posted their experiences.

I have two questions.

1. I am just worried to send the original OCI card of my kids as We are traveling to India in about 2 months or so. What if they delay processing my kids applications.
2. Last time (when I first applied for OCI in Aug 2006) I used services of a company called "Passport Services Inc" in houston to hand deliver my USA passport, get it stamped with OCI sticker and mail it to my home. This time, I thought of going to Atlanta office myself and get the OCI sticker onto the new passport (upon approval). This way there is no need to enclose a return shipping label/envelope. Do they allow walkins for submitting and collecting original passports.

Any help or opinion is appreciated.

Thank you very much! Appreciate the help. I found it odd they request return shipping label now. I thought they needed it when you send the original passport to them. Not now.
