I see the same issue with Indian NRI passport application website. Basically any NRI in USA is not able to renew passport for a week, isn?t it. This is so bad. I sent a email to Cox and Kings and my Consulate. All of you please directly send mail to your Indian consulate, and let?s hope for a solution soon. Every consulate will have a form or email to reach them. I have done my part.

While completing the online NRI passport application Iam getting the below error always and not able to to complete the application
The error is "The specified URL is inaccessible at this time. Please try after some time "

some contact nos are provided 516-206-1483 / 646-589-0088.
Not sure why this is not being fixed
Iam struggling since last 7 days and this is not fixed..is really frustrating
I called the helpdesk and there is charge of $3 /minutes
VFS services are 1000 times better and I utilized it in 2012.

same experience. Issue not fixed yet but the support person had asked me (several hrs ago) to try again after sometime. This is the first time i have experienced a support contact charging money to respond to our queries related to their URL errors. VFS service was simpler and far better than current process.

the url is now working. I was able to fill in, upload the image and generate the pdf.

Workaround to site not working

Hi All,

I was also struggling for over a week trying to get the online NRI form from the website which didnt work. The webpage URL becomes unavailable when entering the details on the webpage.

Workaround: I was able to get my application done on my iPhone. The browser on your phone doesnt crash & also supports the captcha image. PLEASE USE YOUR PHONE TO COMPLETE THE APPLICATION

I am facing the same issue on this website. Tried different browsers/ devices still no luck.

I also have another problem on CKGS website. Though i am providing the reference number, PP number and DOB it still comes back saying invalid entries. I paid fee and all and these issues are making me nervous.

Online NRI Passport Application - Maintenance

Hello All,

Tried to login to "https://passport.gov.in/nri/Online.do" it is showing "System is under maintenance.. Please try after Some Times.". I have been trying for 2 days no update yet.

Has anyone faced the same issue ? if there is any solution please let me know

Yes i am having same problem too. I tried multiple times and every time it give system maintenance.
