ECR Required

Dear Sir/ Madam,

I am Traveling to Malasiya in the month of Dec 07. In my passport ECR is mentioned. According to the information on your site I should get ECNR. But my rravel agent is saying that with respect to 1st of Oct 07 no ECNR is required.

Please advice me what to do? Your advice will be quite helpful.
