I am applying for the OCI card along with my husband. We have already filled part A online and printed part B of the application. But we need answers to the following questions before can complete the applications.
1>Should the original or the photocopies of Indian and USA passports be sent along with the OCI applications ? If photocopies, how many and should they be notorized?
2> The OCI application fee check should be drawn in whose favor? Can one check be sent for more than one applicants?
3> Item 11 on page 8 states that the documents enclosed should be self attested. What does this mean? Should the applicant sign each page? Waht about a minor child?
4> The completed OCI form must be submitted in duplicate. Can the duplicate be a photocopy of the first form?
5> We just got US citizenship? What is the process for getting Indian passports cancelled and sent back to us? How much is the fee for this service?
6> Our daughter currently has an Indian visa which is valid until 2015. She will need a new USA passport in 2 years. What happens if we get her OCI now?
7> OCI application part B asks whether the country of applicant permit dual citizenship in some form or the other. Is the anwser Yes for USA?
