  • OCI Eligibility and relevant documents

    Hi,
I apologize in advance if this question is asked before, but I have read few threads, and still need clarity.

I am and Indian citizen working in USA (on H1 visa). My husband is French citizen - he holds a visitor's visa for India and both his parents are Indian.

Can my US born son apply for OCI card?

If yes, what relevant documents do I need to send i.e. which passport copies do I need to send? And do they all need to be self-attested?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes, your US born son can apply for OCI card because your husband is French citizen of Indian origin.

Thank you for replying. I did read the document list. But the grand parents themselves hold OCI cards, so will a copy of their self-attested OCI card work?

Also, since my child is minor, along with his birth certificate copy, what should I attach. The language in documents is long-winded and a tad confusing.
