I may have to travel to India in early March. Unfortunately I have not applied for renunciation and OCI. Do you think about a month is enough time to receive renunciation and OCI back? is there an expediated version of this service?

Not possible. I recommend applying for renunciation and then emergency visa. It's taking longer for renunciation and used to take two weeks prior to Covid. I applied for OCI on dec 15 and still haven't received it. It just left from Delhi today.Originally posted by farazs1 View PostI may have to travel to India in early March. You can book and travel to India (Indian passport holders, OCI and some business visa holders only right now) at any time. The only requirement is a negative PCR test within 48-72 hours of the flight (These hours can be different for different countries). There is no restriction on when you can book a ticket.

They are issuing emergency visas. Visit the consulate website for instructions. Of course it's for emergency situation only. If you don't have any don't apply.Originally posted by farazs1 View Postso they are not issuing emergency visa now? we definitely don't qualify for any of the above categories right now.
