My employer applied for perm from Virginia, does anyone know which center my application will be. And does anyone from virginia recently gor approved in perm?

Hi - I am currently on H1B expiring in Feb 2011 (6yrs with time capture). I have filed for PERM (labor) in May 2010. I am looking to change jobs but after reading all the forums I think this is the best strategy for me:

- Wait for the LABOR approval - looks like the processing times have improved and hopefully i get that in next 2 months - keeping mt fingers crossed !

- After that file for I-140 in premium processing through current employer - i read somewhere that it takes 2-4 weeks under premium processing to get I-140 - is that right?

- Finally start looking for jobs after that. Lets say i do change jobs later this year - can i get a 3yr extension with the new company on old I-140 and maintain PD? Also is there any risk if the old (current) company withdraws I-140 after and if i change jobs.

Really appreciate any thoughts on this ? cant believe i still have to think that much to change jobs after 6 yrs in this country - really unfortunate !

unfo had an audit and we are still waiting for labor approval ..
Just checked , still says in process...

Is this normal?? I see some of you guys got approvals within 5-6-7 months.. Any suggestion ,i am getting tired of this process...

applied the labor certf on oct 10,2008 under eb3 nj based small company..
unfo had an audit and we are still waiting for labor approval ..
Just checked , still says in process...

Is this normal?? I see some of you guys got approvals within 5-6-7 months.. Any suggestion ,i am getting tired of this process...

EB2 Perm filed Feb 2010 - still not approved ?

I'm on my 6th year of H1 and My EB2 was filed on 10th Feb 2010. No Audit but no approval too.
Many people who filed after me got the approval as i see through the posts in this forum. The perm processing dates on DOL site is July 2010 and not sure my case is taking so long.

Anyone has any idea ? My attorney sent an e mail to DOL and the reply was like this -

"We have received a response from the DOL regarding your PERM application. Unfortunately, the only information provided in the DOL’s update is that your application is still “in process”. The DOL further states that applications are processed on a first-in, first-out basis, and that processingtimes vary depending on the specific circumstances of each unique case."

Anyone in similar situation with Labor pending beyond timeframe filed in 2010. Also is this a normal scenario for Perm. Why are some cases taking 3 months while some are atking well beyond 10 months ... hope for the best .....any expert advice/ comment about this situation please ?
