  • Livign abroad before and fter N-400 application

I have US GC since November 2002. I have lived in the US
continuously since then, except some four/five short trips of a few
days to three weeks. I also have uninterrupted period of one year
    presence in the US.

I may wish to relocate in Asia for a few years from January 2007. I can come back for short visits though. My kids and house will remain here, and I will be filing US taxes.

I wish to apply for the US citizenship, when I am eligible,
    i.e. August 2007 (4 yrs 9 months).

Can I come back in August 2007 to the US
(when I will qualify to apply for naturalization) to the US and
live here for 3 months before applying? Alternatively, can I
just come to apply stay a few days and return to Asia? Or can I
apply from abroad, and come to the US for fingerprints? Or is it
difficult when I am living outside and holding an international
job. That job will be non-UN or non- US treaty job which are
exempt for residency requirements (N-470 may does nto cver it).

I will be most grateful for your advice.
