Congrats!. USCIS San Antonio office is doing a good job. I just checked the processing time for SA and it is just 5 months.

Good to hear that poisontee that your closing in.... Use the naturalisation self test in USCIS. You will have a better idea. The link is

my interview date is 8/24/09

This is super fast!! San antonio office is moving fast!!

I hope you all waiting gets them very soon!! Hang on there!!

its open. I went there 15 minutes earlier than my appt and was served immediately. Absolutely no waiting line.

its located on the shopping center near the lakeline mall.

If you haven't received anything from them by now, It might help to make an info pass appointment to go down to San antonio and talk to someone. It shouldn't take that long.

For your questions:

Is the cover letter must for everybody?
No. You don't have to include a cover letter. As a matter of fact, immihelp suggests you dont write one.I personally like writing a cover letter to summarize whats included in the envelope. Hoping that will be helpful to the receiver of my application. I have done that for all my applications to USCIS.


If so what kind of cover letter did u enclose?

I just wrote a simple cover letter listing whats in the app. Do you want to see a copy of it or what do you mean by what kind?

Seems like your case is moving well, glad to hear that.
Since I applied as a 5 year GC holder, I sent the same documents that you mentioned too. Hopefully my case will als move as quickly. I sent my application on 25th June, no response yet(USPS confirmed delivery on the 29th June).

Helpwithh1-
With the holiday weekend over now, you should be getting your NOA very soon. Its just when waiting for something to come on the mail, A day seems like a month, a month like a year. Just hang on there and Good luck!!

I will keep an update here as to whats going on with my case!. Now am waiting for an interview letter as i study for the civic test!. Am expecting a letter in the mail by the end of this month.
