infopass question

hello all..
how does the info pass work? do i have to book it a week before..or few days..

am in a state other than the one am applying in,so i just wanna know when i have to go back for the pass..
(i hope my question is clear.. !)

10/1/2009 USCIS received papers
10/12/2009 Received 1st notice
10/21/2009 Received FP notice
10/30/2009 FP appt
(still waiting for IL )

you have to enter zip code and make an apt

usually a week later is when you get the apt, you can pick the day and time. sometimes you might lucky and have same day options if there are cancellations
