Congrats!!! this is good news gives us hope. I'm almost waiting for 8 months. Do you have any idea that how many times your status got updated approximately on CEAC website?

My case status has changed about 9 times. I was asked for employment verification letter twice, once a scanned copy in August and a hard copy in November. So, updates are higher than usual.

Visa Issued

After 9 month wait finally I got my visa issued today. Thanks all for the support on this thread and special thanks to brother munna221g for all his help on this thread as well as in person.

Finally Visa issued after 9 months of wait

Finally got some time to post my lengthy experience... Here is the history..
Attended interview on Feb 19th at Hyderabad consulate India. It was for first H1b as I was in F1 status in USA for 4 years.. Came to India to attend my only sister wedding and got stuck up in this quagmire ... VO asked very simple questions like where are you from in USA and was your marriage a love marriage or arranged etc... He said the visa was approved but I had to got through the admin processing and gave me the dreaded white slip.. My first visa interview in 2008 was for F1 and the admin process took 3 months... I hoped that this will also take same
Time or a little more..

Anyways.. Within hours I got email asking my past travel history, resume etc.. I emailed them immediately with all relevant info.. The following are the status updates ... Mar 11th and march 18th... Then a long gap of 6 months.. During this time I tried everything from daily calls to DOS and to US travel docs.. In Aug DOS placed inquiry on the case and within 2 weeks I got emails to submit passports on Aug 22nd.. Then following date changes.. Aug 23, 27,29 Sep 3, 6,10 and Sep 16th.. Updates stopped and then on oct 1st got email to pick up passports.. Picked them up without stamp... On Nov 18th status date changed and next day got email to submit passports.. Nov 20th status changed to issued.. I will post some Tips and personal observations in next post in a day or two.. Please be patient, positive and hopeful..God has a great sense of timing and only if you believe in Him. On Nov 22nd my dependent status also changed to ISSUED.. Thanks for giving hope.. Inshallah everyone will get through just matter of time..

I'm sorry I haven't been able to follow this forum lately as I have returned to CA and had to setup quite a few things to get back to the normal routine life. I was really hoping that at least munna221g's processing would be complete by now as I was in touch with him in Hyd. Either way, hang in there guys, Inshallah the wait will end for you. You shouldn't worry about what the response would be, its almost always positive, just a matter of time, that's it! For the newbies on this forum, my case took 13months EXACT to complete the AP. The dates had very frequently changed in the last 2 months of my waiting period. V V rarely does a case take this long, so don't worry. I am not trying to scare you further, just letting you know that it will eventually complete. May Allah give you all the patience he gave me when I was there.....

They can only see the Sept updates.. Not sure whats going on.. Very weird and upsetting.. Inshallah the patience will be rewarded by the almighty.... Worried because things move very slowly in Nov and Dec due to holiday season...

At which consulate did you attend your interview?

Though it is saying passport, basically they are returning your 797 etc.., there are some other members here who got similar message. I think it is a generic message.

Collect your docs and wait for next mail or call, good luck!!

I got an Email from Support as to collect my returned passport/documents from pickup location the main problem is actually Visa officer had returned my passport to me at consulate itself , now the main doubt from my side is what were the documents present at pickup location for me to pick up and what is my current case status .
Or any one please provide if there is any phone number to contact regarding my case. moreover when i am sending mail to [email protected] they are sending me mail that my documents were ready to collect from pickup location.
And they took my project description , lca and I797 from me iam strucked with these mails
any help will be thank full

The status of my visa in CEAC has been changed to Issued today morning. Here is a brief history of my journey:

Visa Interview Date: August 26, 2013
First Case Update Date Change: September 20, 2013 (Still in AP)
Submitted Passport: October 18, 2013
Second Case Update Date Change: October 25, 2013 (Issued)

On October 18, I got an email asking to pick up some documents from the VFS office in Hyderabad. Along with the documents, I also received another 221g asking me to submit my passport which I did on the same day.
