221(g) administrative processing for H4 VISA....please guide!!

its alright, i have a four page CV...give a detailed CV. the statement of purpose should be concise and short. just give the reason why your travelling to the USA. if you are going for research purpose then you may want to give a small background of the research and why ur research is important...

Thanks a lot for ur reply. I was just about to submit my docs and commit stupid mistake by attaaching 3 docs , you saved me..:-)
I have 2 more quick queries :
1.) They have asked for detailed CV. Since I have been working for last 6.5 yrs it's a 3.5 page CV. Is it fine or it need to short CV??
2.) Regarding the rest of the questions like statement of purpose etc I assume they need to concise be 3-4 line answers..right??

please it will be really helpful if you can reply soon as I wish to submit the docs today before 5:00 P.M

Hi Priyanka (by the way my bhabhi has the same name which i like a lot )

My situation is very complicated because i'm a citizen of former USSR republic, recently married Indian citizen and had to apply in India (because even if i go back to my country i have no ability to get visa there, our citizens can apply for american visa Only in Russia, Ukraine, Poland). My interview was on 15th of Feb, i asked if any documents are needed (my huge wedding album, wedding card, photos of us together in different countries + alot of documents about his work, salary - everything was with me) but i got reply "no, nothing is needed..just administrative processing for you is necessary, wait for 2-3weeks"
So...i have ideas why i got 221g, realize that my case is somewhat unique - probably they will check my work and my family, probably - my marriage. I just 100% know that not dangerous for any society (my work and background are pure), that i love my husband, know him not just for month or year and that we don't plan settle in US for long. We have nothing just wait, wait and try to be patient (although for me its tough, i live with my husband for less than 4months and don't want him to be far from me again).

Have they started working on my case?

Swati, i'm sure thats a positive sign (on different forums people were sharing their experience, usually those whose statuses were updated got their visas during 1 or max 2 weeks)

Hi Swati ,

Definately thats a positive sign.Now ur visa will be approved any day.
I have read on few forums ,some ppl got the visa issued ther very next day status changed on their case number.

Yup , ur case is unique.
I too agree prolly they will do some background check in ur case.
Don't worry , u will get ur visa soon and will re-unite with ur dearest hubby...so cheers..:-)
I just hope we all get our resp visaa asap...dis wait is killing..!!

It took 35 days for me to get my visa after submission of the documents!

My spouse has been waiting from last 90 days for H4. No slip , No document asked.
Her status updated on 14 and then again on 15 March but still on admin processing.i was hoping that her visa would be issued on Monday but no change.. Is it normal or embassy just playing with us?

Hi ,

Status update is surely a +ve sign.
Your spouse will be getting visa any day now. ( max one more week - deduced after reading various people's experience on different forums).
So , Be hopeful , ur long wait will be over very soon on happy note...:-)
If by anychance ur spouse didn't get her visa by this friday , trying writing to india-support helpdesk for the update.
