H1 B Expired - Transfer to Valid H1B

I have H1B expired by Sep2011 anD went to US for 15 months employment by 2008 and 2009 for an employer A.Due to recession , I have returned back to India. Is it possible to transfer my expired H1B visa to a valid H1B visa for a new employer B.? Right now, I am working in India.

1) If so, how long the process will take?

2) What are all the documents needed?

Yes it is possible. As you havent used up the entire 6 Years of H1, you can get a fresh H1 for 6 minus time already spent in H1 status and request an immediate start date.

1. Without considering document preparation time, 15-20 days in premium.
