H4 question: Does th primary need to travel with?

Hi Experts,

My wife is going to apply for a H4 visa in Auckland soon. I am currently working in the US, I am just wondering if I need to travel to the US consulate wit her, or is it ok for her to go by herself with all the documents needed?

Not required for you to be with your spouse.

Have you got your H1 stamped in passport? If not, then then some third party countries might ask you to be present, in that case advisable for spouse to process H4 in home country (read discussion going on at http://www.immihelp.com/forum/showth...1b-Stamping%29)

Thanks for help. I have already had my h1b stamped, so I guess I don't need to go with?
