H1b Validity and I797A have different dates

I have my H1b stamped till 8/27/16, but my employer filed an amendment (I797A) which is valid till 4/3/17. My I94 still reflects 8/27/16 as the expiry date. I have plans of travelling to States in May 16, should I get it stamped to reflect the new I797A date on my passport..
