Need help- i94 expiring in two weeks

I am working for company A and H1b/i94 expiring on October 28, 2016. I am having issue having company A file an extension. I am approaching company B to file a transfer/extension before October 28 in regular processing. I am assuming it will take months before a decision on the petition and I can work for company B during this time. My question is, what if I get a job in company C and want to move there? Can company C transfer H1b to them while company B petition is still pending? What if they file and then I get RFE on either petition B or petition C? Your expert advice is highly appreciated. I would suggest applying B's petition in premium.
