H4 Renewal - Need for US consulate and Biometric appointment? (Need information)
Hi Experts,
My previous H4 stamped visa expired on September 30, 2017 (more than 12 months back, because we will be visiting India in December 2018).
- According to the rule for Interview Waiver, I think I don't qualify for the drop-box? because I don't have "YES" for only this question - If I am applying for an H or L (individual) or R visa, my prior visa in the same class is still valid or expired within the last 12 months.
- For Biometric-appointment, on ustraveldocs website, it says you need to take appointment for biometric if the "prior visa in the same class is not valid or expired more than last 12 months ago". so looks like I am in this category as well.
Do I need to make a separate appointment for my my fingerprints? Because I have already been ten-fingerprinted during my first visa interview in 2012? In case I still need to give the fingerprints again, how do I take that appointment. Can I book VAC appointment on https://cgifederal.secure.force.com ? This is not clear from the "ustraveldocs" website instructions.
Please help me out.
