Should we carry any amount (DD) for H1b stamping

I wanted to know do I have to carry any amount for H1B stamping, I heard that we need to carry some amount in form of DD to submit once ur visa is approved at the consulate. How much we need to carry and what are the formalities pls inform.

-- As far as I too attended the H1 interview in the month of June 2007, there was no DD or cash asked for after the interview. Please refer to the website for further details, in case things have changed during the past two months.
