There are a few *****l****s on the forum that can help. If you have a job (which is a must for a H1b to be approved), anytime is a good time.

If you are trying to come through some bodyshopper that has nothing but a fancy website with an office in a basement or employs 10 people out of which 9 are on bench, good luck!

On H1b, to maintain legal status, you need to be paid from day 1. Benching without pay will put you out of status. So, you decide what is good for you.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

Many employers say that they do not have projects and so they cannot pay the employees.
Can an employee file a complaint against the employer with the wages dept of DOL ?
What should the course of action be in such a case ?

Does it really harm the employee and the employer in any way ?

Thank you TxH1B for being so quick.

I am not a lawyer and this is not a legal advice. Use it at your own risk. Consult professionals before getting into an action.
