I am surprised you were not able to figure it out from the vfs website.

-Get a HDFC payment done in your favor by someone.
-Schedule an appointment by filling out forms.
    -Attend the interview.

I am not a lawyer and you need to consult with one to validate any info posted on the forum and discuss your case specifics. H1b Question? Read the FAQ first.

      Thanks for your reply sir,
i know the normal procedure ( going to vfs-usa -> Apply for non-immigrant visa -> select city , and go on...) , But few others i think are trying to confuse me bcoz they are saying that what i am doing is wrong and the procedure what i know is followed by the guys who are in India and not for the people who are in usa and trying to scheduling an interview in india.
I'm sorry if this sounds silly, but i hope you reply with patience.

The appointment procedure is the same for everyone. Only one question is different- Are you getting the same visa that expired in the past 12 months? The Yes or No answer to this just shows extra slots as people returning from US have more slots available.

You are no different and stop listening to friends with not much info on their end.
