Is I 797 needed to schedule a visa interview

Hi,

- My H1B visa expired on the April of 2010 and my company had filed for an extension.
- I changed jobs during this month of May 2010.
- My new company filed for H1B visa transfer in the premium processing mode.
- I have to travel to India on the 7th of June and wont have the new I 797 until then. My company told me that it would be couriered to me in India.


Question:
- I filled my DS 160, paid the HDFC receipts and am trying to book an appointment for visa stamping. Do I need the I797 handy with me to book an appointment?

Just receipt number is enough to fill DS-160.
