i-94 date error

Heloo,
entered usa on h1b, the officer entered the validity date as 25.09.20 , which should be 2011.
If i put a 11 after the 20 will this be considered tampering.
If it is yes then how on earth can they find out that the date was tampered

How do you know that it is 2011 and not 2010? The actual date will be there on their system of records. It is the responsibility of each individual to check the I-94 before leaving the immigration post. If there is a problem in the I-94, then it has to be corrected the right way. Check this.

Go to the nearest deferred inspections post (search CBP website) and have it corrected.
