Change of Consulate for H1 Interview

Hi Guys,

Can Somebody please let me know, whether we can Select different US Embassy for the H1 Renewal interview.

Initially i was supposed to be in bangalore on xx date and therefore have Filled the DS-160 and taken interview Date / time also.

Now had been asked to be in Mumbai office around that dates and its critical.

Since my Dates are approaching fast, I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest whats the procedure and how to go ahead with the same.

A returning H1B worker can take the visa interview at any U.S consulate in India. However, you will need to fill a new DS-160 and schedule an interview at the Mumbai consulate and the cancel the one that you have scheduled earlier at a different consulate (Chennai?).

I was still wondering to take chennai
Or Mumbai. Delhi I heard lot of scrutiny.
Any suggestions?? Will cancel appoitment
And book a new one.
