H1B extension with out Visa stamping for the first perios

Hi,

I came us (from india) on f1 visa and after that i am working on h1b visa and i will be applying for my h1b extension in July 2011, To apply for extension, do i have to go back to india in my first 3 yrs of h1 and get the stamping done for it? or is it ok if i go india and get my stamping done after my extension??

You can apply for the extension from within U.S. Extension should be applied before the current I-94 expires. You can get the visa stamped whenever you decide to go out of the country and decide to re-enter.
