H4 stamping

Hello,

Let me explain my situation, initially my wife and I had planned to go India together and due to my work load I'm unable travel. Right now she is in India, and her return ticket on Jan mid.

So the question is, her H4 visa got expired, but she has approved I797 (H4, extension paper) and she need to go for visa stamping, so is it required to send my original I797 and W2's? or can I just send the copies via email attachments?

Please let me know.
