hi all

please advise me to prepare the documents for H4.

i came on h1 and for the first 5 months i havent worked.I am working since last 4 months and i have the pay stubs for these 4 months. Recently i got my extention for 3 yrs.
I am sending the H4 docs for my wife and kids.
1.As i dont have tax returns and i just had my last 4 months paystubs , how can i cover if they ask for tax returns at the time of interview.
2.What are the documents do i need to send(from myside and employer)

>>> If you have been on H1B status even for 1 days in the year 2010, then you need to have a W2 from your employer for 2010. When you are in H1B status, you need to be working and getting apid to maintain the H1B status. So if the employer asks for the W2 and if your dependents cannot provide it, then it could lead to a 221g being issued. Sometimes they don't ask for it. So in your case, it depends on your luck.
