  • Additional admin processing note from US embassy

    Hi,

My L1A appn. went on hold for admin. processing & got approved after 5 months. Embassy asked to show the passport in person to get the visa stamp.

3 months passed by. I couldn't appear due to family emergencies. I got the reminder mail from US embassy to appear as quickly as possible. I found below note in that email.

" Please note if we do not receive your passport within a few days after the initial clearance there is a chance that there could be additional processing which will delay you receiving your visa "

I'm planning to go to embassy to get visa. I'm little worried with above note.

    1. Even though admin. processing is through, What could be the challenges in getting visa stamp?
    2. Do they go second interview since my visa stamping was delayed by me ?
    3. What kind of questions I can expect? Do they ask, why didnt you come early or are you still working for the same client like that?
    4. Do they reject my visa due to delay in my visa stamp appearance?
    5. What will happen incase if they put for addl. admin processing

Please share your inputs incase if you've undergone similar situation or have some thoughts

    Thanks,

    Thanks,
All these are speculative What If scenarios. Only way to find out is by attending the second interview. Be prepared as you were for the first one and hope for the best.

This is my opinion not legal advice.
