Is L1B Visa holder's passport required for L2 visa interview of spouse?

Hi,
I recently got a L1B visa and now my wife is going to appear for L2 Visa interview. I have to travel at that time so she can't carry my passport which has my L1B Visa stamp.
I was wondering if carrying my passport in original is a "mandatory" document for she can carry a copy of my visa stamping page?

What are the other mandatory docs they want to see when spouse is appearing for L2 visa interview separately?
