Hello! I am in the process of applying for an L1A visa. I will be having 6 qualified professionals working under me in the US but no indirect reportees. Is having indirect reportees important to show managerial role for L1A?

Will you be a manager? Or you will still perform tasks? Having (or not) people reporting to you does not translate to manager/executive. Even if your job title says manager, still doesn`t mean a lot. You must work as a manager in an executive capacity to receive L1A - performing managerial duties and not be assigned to tasks. Sometimes I do enjoy some tasks and offer my help to perform some visits to customers or suppliers but this is very rare..one per year if that much!! I miss some aspects of my simple life, let`s say.
Remember that usually is easy to get the visa on this category but it does not mean you will get a GC as 1st preference - the whole process will be verified again in details as there is a lot of abuse...
Discuss in details with your company`s lawyer. Probably they have a lot of background info on denial rates and they have access to your job description in details. They can easily identify a manager in executive capacity...
