L1A Blanket interview London or Chennai

My office consultant says I can go to London for my L1 A blanket interview as there are more chances there than Chennai. Though i have strong case as i am here a Director and will be Director in US with direct reports but to be safe he suggests to book interview in London US embassy. As i have UK visitor visa i can go for a short business trip to our london office and attend interview there i.e i have to just say that my US office wants me urgently and as i had work in London it would not be possible to go back to india get Visa done and come to US in time , hence i wanted to attend in london. Note i am working in India and not in London.

what do you suggest. Should i take this route of London interview or go to Chennai as i am with the company for 15 yrs and in a senior position and will be in decision making position in US as well.
for London i can not take my wife and kid as they do not have visa. So is attending with family as positive or no impact. If it has positive impact then chennai is best and not to complex it.

There is no law, as to where you should apply. But it is recommended to go to local consulate for your fist visa.

For London i can not take my wife and kid as they do not have visa. So is attending with family as positive or no impact. If it has positive impact then chennai is best and not to complex it.

For L1 visa, having family or not, doesn't have any impact.
