L1A approved petition but can't stamp passport due to lockdown

Hello All,

My L1A individual petition was approved on 30 Mar until 2023 but I received the hard copies in May and was hoping the consulate in Mumbai opens up by July or August due to the lockdown.

But with this new EO, I believe we can't have our passport stamped even if they open in Oct?? Is my understanding correct Or we can have it stamped but can't travel until December?

Though my employer has understood this situation, but I would like to understand other routes to expedite this if possible.?

I'm already losing my performance year since I can't be on the US payroll until December.

Would .my petition be valid until then.please help. It's been a long road until here for me.

You can't get the visa stamped until end of this year.

There is no other route, the EO is to not allow new resources into USA - so they have thoughtfully closed all other routes as well.

Yes, you can use that petition till the last day of its validity - provided you still qualify for the visa (i.e. still working with same company and same role etc. at the time of visa & entry into USA)
