  • Visa Waiver Program eligibility question

    Good Morning

I am just at the stage of pulling my hair out in confusion with the US visa system.

At present, I live in the UK with my husband and two children. We are in the process of buying a property in Rockledge, FL which will eventually become our permanent residence. My husbands sister is a US Citizen and has filed a petition for alien residency for my family. I want to come out with the children as soon as possible to get our new house in order, put the children in school while I am there as I will also be an unpaid child minder for my sister-in-law. My husband will remain in the UK until such point that we are ready for him to join us.

Can you tell me if in theory this is possible for us to do? If so, can we move there while our petition is being processed? Will we need visas?

Sorry, but I have contacted so many people and nobody seems to know.
