the new rule by vfs asking original birth certificate of child for visitors visa......, how can parents have the original it will be with us in usa and we need it for diffenrnt puruposes and not safe to send original by mail............, so is it ok to send a notraised copy of it or only original is required...., kindly advice...........

Yes. Original Birth certificate is required. I sent mine during last month's interview for my mother.

no now all consulates chennai, kolkatta , delhi also vfs taking over so birth certificates needed for all so asked

surprising, and people who are 50 or 60 years old, how they can have birth certificate, in old days people did make birth certificate . and even there was no awarness for parents to make any birth certificate from govenment department.

so how get birth certificate ? any one help please

they r not asking bc of parents but of child who is inviting from usa.

Yes, now all children in US sponsoring their parents in US require their(child's) original birth certificate, all across India.
