The DOB on my father's passport on which he travelled to Singapore and Hong Kong(they give visa on landing) in the 80s was incorrect.He had to get this passport renewed.To avoid inconsistency, he filled the renual form with the same 'incorrect' DOB.Now he has to apply for US visa , but all his tax documents which need to be submitted for visa have a different DOB which is the correct one.At the Mumbai American Counsulate, all the supporting documents need to be submitted to the visa facilitation services prior to the appointment.I think they must be closely looking at the paperwork.What is the procedure to get the DOB changed on the passport(there was international travel on the old passport)?Please advise!
