Marry on Visitor visa?

I am a US citizen who wants to marry a nurse from China, with whom I have been in communication since April, 2014 on a dating website, via translated letters and photos. We fell in love with each other, and want to marry as soon as we can.We investigated the fiance k-1 visa, but I was told that if we hadn't met in person, the visa would almost certainly be denied.

So, I was thinking I could sponsor a visitors visa for her, and get married when she gets here, as long as we are honest about our intentions, it might work.

Any advice would be appreciated.

and if you apply visitor visa with intention to move to USA will have impact on her gc process.

I would suggest to apply K1 visa for her and then marry within 90 days of her arrival.
