Extension of B2 Visa - i539 - Long last name

Hi,

I am applying for my mom's B2 visa extension. Her last name contains 34 characters but in i539, the last name field accepts only 29 characters. How can I fill in her last name? Please assist.

You must have faced same issue while filing her I94 & visa application. Use the same details (trimmed last name) for extension as well.

Thanks for the reply. Following your reply, I checked i94 and noticed that her name in the records is not correct. Only the first 3 characters (out of 9) of her first name is present along with 25 characters from her last name. I guess last name would not be corrected, but my concern is about the first name. I am planning to get an appointment with the local USCIS office to get it corrected. I will post the updates here for anyone who might face the same issue in future.
