Help needed in B2 visa please

I am an indian citizen and my wife is Canadian citizen. She is studying in us under some exchange program. She is doing her rotations in some hospital in Chicago. I have applied for spouse visa in dec2014 which is still in processing. Me and wife couldn't meet each other from last two years. She has to finish her degree until end of this year. Can i apply for tourist visa so we can meet each other. What kind of documents she has to provide. She can not sponser me as she is not a US citizen.

I have few questions

What documents she need to provide me from her side?
If my US visa gets refused will it affect my canadian application in any way?
Last What are the chances of getting us tourist visa and how to convince visa officer that i am only going to meet her?

For sponsoring visitor visa, she doesn't need to be US Citizen. She doesn't need to sponsor, you can self sponsor. If your US visa reject that will not have any impact on your Canadian immigration application.

Bring your employment letter, bank statement, tax return, return ticket at the time of interview and let visa officer decide.
