How long a Tourist visa holder can stay

Hi

I plan to bring my mom soon and I myself will be taking her from India. My status is GC. What is the procedure to request for 6months stay for the first time in US to the immigration officer? Do we get any change to request for the no. of months stay here while immigration? Is there anything wrong if I myself take her from India?

If anyone have any idea, please share it with me

Stay in US depends on validity I-94 that is stamped @ POE. Most of the time, POE officers stamps 6 months stay. If you want your mom to stay more than that time you can apply for extension. Ref https://www.immihelp.com/visitors-visa-extension/ for details
