Dear Sir / Mdm,
I am a Singapore citizen (passport holder) and should be able to enter the USA for holiday purpose without a visa. From the website http://www.immihelp.com/visa-waiver-program/, I read this para:
"You must have no visa ineligibilities. This means if you
have been refused a visa before, have a criminal record or
are ineligible for a visa you cannot travel on the Visa
Waiver Program without a visa. You must apply for a visa
to the U.S."My situation is that I've applied for UK's Holidaymaker Visa in 2003 in Singapore but was rejected. As I wasn't told that this would then require me to apply visas for future visits to the UK - I then flew back to UK for holiday and was rejected entry at the London airport.
Will this result in my visit to the USA? Therefore, do I need to apply for a Tourist (B2) visa in Singapore? I'll be flying to Boston in Oct with a friend for holidays.
Please kindly advise, thank you.
