Clarifications Required in Processing Visa for my Mother

Hi,

I am currently in U.S on a L1 Visa. I would like to bring my mother to be with me. I need to know all the supporting documents i need to process for my Mothe's Visa. Also i need my Mother to stay atleast for a year as i dont want leave her alone in India now. Since i work a major U.S MNC my company will help filing for my Mother's Visa. I just need to know the following things:

1. Information on all the forms i need to fill and get for processing my Mothers Visa.

2. If my mother is given a Visa for 6 months or less can i extend it once she reaches here after 3 months and what is the procedure for the same.

I would appreciate your help in this.
