B2 for Parents

2 Questions:

1) B2 is for 6 months, right. Is it okay to say while interview that they want to visit USA for 6 months as filled in the forms.

2) My birth certificate is not available. Only thing I have is my 10th certificate. Will that be enough? It does not have my birth place and mother's name.

3) My parents do not have marriage certificate either but mom has dad's name on passport. Will that be sufficient?
